Individual

Whether you love the clean energy benefits of pure, infinite wind power, or support the use of more domestic, homegrown energy, supporting the Wind Energy Foundation will help us put more wind on the grid and increase the use of renewable energy in the production of consumer products. Individual contributions also help fund our education programs, including K-12 and consumer outreach.

Renewable Energy Jobs Campaign

The solar and wind industries are leading drivers of American job growth. While both industries represent less than 10 percent of U.S. electricity supply, their job growth easily outpaces other sectors of the US economy, and job growth trajectories for the coming decades are truly dramatic and exciting. At a time when advocates for coal mining and coal-fired power are drawing media attention to the question of energy-related jobs, renewable energy advocates have an opportunity to tell their compelling story of jobs and economic development and shape the public conversation about the future of energy across the U.S.

The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), Wind Energy Foundation (WEF) and NEXTracker, Inc. have formed a Renewable Energy Jobs Communications Campaign to carry out this critical work.

Corporate

Getting to 20 percent wind energy on the grid is feasible – and proven to work – but it won’t be possible without the financial support from corporations with a vested interest in clean energy. From wind energy suppliers, manufacturers and developers, to companies interested in diversifying our nation’s energy supply, we need and appreciate your financial support.

Britt Theismann Memorial Fund

In 2011, Britt Theismann, one of the original founders of the Wind Energy Foundation and the Chief Operating Officer of the American Wind Energy Association, sadly passed away. The Foundation created this fund in Britt’s memory. All proceeds collected are dedicated to the Wind Power Your Car campaign, a personal passion of Britt’s, who was an avid driver of a wind-powered electric vehicle and a passionate advocate for clean energy.
